Movie Star!

Chester is a half brother to our puppies.  His sire is Dash, the same sire that our puppies have.  Chester has become a movie star.  He is starring in "The Twelve Dogs of Christmas II". Below is a letter that Dash's owner received about Chester.

  Hi Heidi!

Sorry it’s taken so long to send you anything in fact I can’t remember if I sent you the photo I promised. Here is a good one sent from the movie producer. They will be finished filming on the 21st I think. He has done so well. I’m going to copy a paragraph I sent to Mike’s mom who actually hasn’t even bet the movie star.
“I can’t remember if I told you about Chester auditioning for a movie part and getting it. Mike thinks he talked to you about it but he suggested I send you this photo of him with the actress. He is one of two lead dogs in the movie about a dog orphanage. He is doing such a good job. They love his puppy exuberance, cuddliness and friendliness. What a sweet dog he is. The trainer, Alicia takes him for several days a week for shooting which started around the third week in March and will end the same in April. They have been in Heber, at the Masonic temple on South Temple in Salt Lake and tonight they will have him running a long distance into the Kingsbury Hall at the University of Utah. We thought he would just be in a few scenes but Alicia says because he’s doing so well, he is playing about 90% of the Nessie scenes. We have been working with him at home on some things as well as training sessions with Alicia to learn to tug, hug, jump up to greet (which initially was the one thing we didn’t want to break him of), paw anything we point to, bark, growl, snap and open the window of a “burning” house and get out. He has to protect his master so they have him doing all the scenes where he has to speak and growl (next week with a bear which should be interesting) but they will definitely only be able to shoot his head because the back of him wiggles and wags. This breed (golden doodle) is really smart but very friendly. It has been fun. He has actually been dyed to look like the real Nessie so he’s darker than normal. He goes to the beauty parlor to get touched up just like a real movie star! We miss him and Maggie really misses him when he’s “shooting”. The movie, The Twelve Dogs of Christmas II is a sequel to a DVD movie made in 2005 which I think is how this one will be distributed. We’ll send you the DVD when we get it before Christmas next year.”
Thank you again for our sweet Chester. We love him so much! How are you coming on your new liter?
Pam
