All nine puppies have great potential to be awesome performance dogs or antler hunters as their mother is trained in agility, obedience, rally and antler hunting.
The puppies will be temperament tested at 7 weeks of age to enable you to choose your puppy based on the temperament that fits your lifestyle.
Puppies have dew claws removed, will be current on worming, vaccinations and will have a vet check.
They are available to go to their new homes mid-May when they are about 9 weeks old. This will enable them to adjust to their new homes much faster as they will already be crate trained, started on basic puppy manners, introduced to the clicker, used to car rides, socialized to many surfaces, people of all ages, locations, and noises. They have been raised in our home and are therefore already familiar with all of the normal household noises.
Puppies are being handled each day using the same puppy handling methods that Guide Dogs for the Blind use for their puppies. This includes handling the ears, eyes, tail, each paw inbetween all toes, checking the teeth and holding the puppies on their backs and sides for a few seconds. This prepares them to be more relaxed at the vet's office when examined, and to not resist handling for grooming or admistration of medicines and cleaning of ears. I am also clipping their nails each week, so that they are familiar with this procedure, and they are being brushed with a slicker brush.
Price: Females: $800 $150 non-refundable deposit will hold the puppy of your choice.
Males: $700
Puppies will be sent home with a puppy information packet, registration papers, clicker, and some food.
Things you need for your puppy
- Food and water bowls--stainless steel are best
- Collar and leash
- Crate or puppy exercise pen
- Grooming tools (slicker brush, poodle brush, nail clippers)
- Ear Cleanser (I recommend Zymox)
- Durable toys: Nylabone, Kong, Chuck-it balls (rubber), rope toys
- Odor/Stain remover in case of accidents
- Puppy food (Puppies are currently eating Canidae ALS)
